Ruby Falls is a stunning underground waterfall located in Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. The falls were discovered by chance in 1928 when Leo Lambert was exploring the cave with a group of friends. He noticed a small opening and squeezed through it to find the breathtaking waterfall. Lambert named the falls after his wife, Ruby. Visitors begin their journey with an elevator ride that takes them 260 feet below the surface. They then embark on a guided tour of the limestone caverns, which date back millions of years. Along the way, you can learn about the cave's history, geology and the unique features that make it such an amazing destination. The highlight of the tour is a viewing of the 145-foot waterfall, illuminated by colorful lights.

Ruby Falls also offers several other attractions, including ZIPStream Aerial Adventure, a high-flying obstacle course, and the Lookout Mountain Tower, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Additionally, there are several nearby landmarks that are worth visiting, such as the Point Park Battlefield and the Incline Railway, a thrilling cable car ride that takes you up the mountain.
